Tremendous advancements have been made over the years and today it is possible to cope with cancer and in many instances cure it. Presently, prevention is still the most effective way of fighting the disease.

Through education and wide-ranging media campaigns, ICA promotes awareness of the importance of prevention and encourages the public to adopt preventive measures. In doing so, we conduct media campaigns and distribute hundreds of thousands of educational information pamphlets in a variety of languages.

One of the major activities of ICA is promoting cancer prevention through education, awareness and research. Research today has shown that leading a healthy lifestyle, living a smokefree environment and applying the 'sunsmart' behaviour, all contribute to an effective preventive healthy life.
