  A Girl of a Song

My beautiful little girl has become a song,

And while I sing this song sadness sings along.

Whichever direction you took, it was a smooth ride,

Whatever choices you made, the doors of life opened wide.

All you wanted was to restore your beautiful life

To return to the comfort of your home, the friends you loved,

But your life was nipped in the bud.

I gave up a lot to make things easier,

I wanted a lot, hugs and kisses.

You could only spare a few,

And it just wouldn't do.

But even if I gave you more, it never would have been enough.

When you rose to heaven I held your hand in mine.

I held you close and planted a kiss on your forehead.

I wanted to embrace and kiss your spirit that lives in your stead.

I stretched forth my hand to your soul, but it couldn't be reached.

I am left with hugs and kisses destined for you.

Where can I find you to entrust them to your loveliness.

You have faded from existence, and yet you are ever-present.

Ultimately we will meet in such a beautiful world, and we will be reunited just like all the rest.

My beautiful little girl has become a song.

And while I sing this song sadness sings along.

All you wanted was to restore your beautiful life,

To return to the comfort of your home, the friends that you loved,

But your life was nipped in the bud.

All you wanted was to restore your beautiful life, to return to the comfort of your home, to the friends that you loved - Sigal.
