Since the human genome was deciphered, our understanding of genetics has made gigantic strides. The study of founder populations with clusters of disease-related genes has improved our understanding of human genetics.
The current challenge is to incorporate the genetic knowledge acquired from the many research sources into our medical practice to the benefit of the society.
